Work undertaken
Already an impressive property, our client wanted a dream two-story extension to create the perfect family home. Working in collaboration with Jude and the team at Waterlake Designs Architects and Planners, the Canterwood team followed the architectural drawings with ease.
The team worked carefully to ensure the merge of the original house and new extension blends seamlessly, and the client's careful and tasteful eye is making the interior changes look fabulous. To seamlessly blend the old and new, Waterlake Designs Architects and Planners had a contact who shipped old oak from France to be used as beams on the low ceilings.
There were also lots of alterations and reuse of old timbers for this project. The team had to add in a number of timber joists in order to secure the extension.
Canterwood joinery, based in Poland, supplied a bespoke shaker kitchen designed to optimise the available space. Opting for an integrated wine cooler, storage space and bifold doors, Canterwood were able to produce a completely transformed space from the inside to out.
The team also built a utility room for this busy family home. The upstairs extension was complete with a balcony and the slates on the roof were matched to the already existing roof.
